Getting started with your chalk marker

A brand new chalk marker can seem completely useless at first. Here's how to prime it:

Keep the cap on and shake the marker firmly a few times until you hear a clicking sound.
Remove the cap and press the tip firmly against a piece of paper until it clicks in completely. Release.
Repeat and pump the tip to push ink through until the nib is filled. If it feels like you're being a bit rough with your chalk marker while pumping (more times than you'd expect) - you're on the right track!
When you see a dot of ink on the paper, your marker is ready to use!

Keep this in mind

Store your chalk marker horizontally or with the tip facing down.
Make it a habit to shake it a few times before each use to keep the ink smooth and consistent.
If the marker hasn't been used for a while, you may need to repeat the steps above to "restart" it.
