How to apply eyes and other details to your robot lawn mower
Prepare the surface
The surface where you're placing your stickers must be clean and dry. Wipe it down with water and a mild cleaning agent to make sure it's free from both dirt and grease. The decal bonds best on completely smooth surfaces, so avoid placing it on any parts of your robot that might be slightly textured. The surface should ideally be flat or only slightly curved - otherwise there's a risk that larger areas of the decal will crease and not bond as well.
Apply the decal
Most decals are supplied as regular stickers on a backing sheet - just peel and stick directly onto your robot! In some cases you'll receive parts in different colors that can be combined before applying the finished design. For example, you can attach a pupil to a white of the eye, or a white of the eye to a lash background while the larger piece is still on its backing paper. Then lift the assembled result and place it where you want it! If you've chosen lashes as an accessory to standard robot lawn mower eyes, these come with transfer tape on the front. First apply the eyes to the mower, then peel off the lashes using the transfer tape. Line them up with the already-applied eyes, press them down firmly and carefully remove the tape. Done!
Let the decal cure
Make sure your newly applied decal is left undisturbed for at least 24 hours before being exposed to the elements and moisture. If the adhesive is allowed to cure properly first, the decal should handle outdoor conditions without any problems for 3-5 years!
GOOD LUCK!
P.S. If you end up with an air bubble behind the decal that won't press out toward the edge, just pierce it with a thin needle! Rub gently with a finger after pressing out the air and the hole will be virtually invisible.
