Temporary tattoos are a fun and easy way to decorate your skin for a day or two! Follow these simple steps for a great result.
You will need
Scissors
A cloth or some paper towels
Water
How to apply
Cut out the tattoo — Use scissors to carefully cut out your tattoo. Leave a few millimeters around the design to make application easier.
Remove the protective film — Gently peel off the transparent plastic film covering the design.
Place the tattoo on your skin — Position the tattoo face down on your skin. Make sure the skin is clean, dry and free from oils and lotion for the best result.
Wet the tattoo — Press a well-dampened cloth or wet paper towel firmly against the back of the tattoo. Make sure the entire tattoo is thoroughly soaked.
Wait 30 seconds — Hold the cloth or paper towel still for about 30 seconds, keeping it moist the whole time.
Carefully remove the paper — Slowly peel the paper away from your skin. If the tattoo hasn't fully transferred, press the paper back and add more moisture before trying again.
Let the tattoo dry — Allow the tattoo to air dry for a few minutes. Avoid rubbing or wetting it right after application to help it last longer.
How to make your tattoo last longer
Avoid rubbing the tattoo right after application.
Pat it dry gently if it gets wet instead of rubbing.
Avoid oil-based creams on the area as they can dissolve the tattoo faster.
How do I remove the tattoo?
Temporary tattoos are easiest to remove when the skin has been wet, for example after a bath or shower. A little extra rubbing with a towel is usually enough to break up and lift the tattoo. Here are a few more tips for removal:
Gently rub with oil or body lotion and wipe away with a soft cloth.
Use soap and warm water and scrub gently with a washcloth.
For stubborn remains, alcohol-based cleanser can help - but be careful if you have sensitive skin!
Now you're ready to rock your new tattoo!
